In response to changing demographics and the trend of an aging society, the Graduate Institute of Long-term Care at Tzu Chi University of Technology adheres to an educational philosophy of “professionalism, humanities, service, and excellence,” integrating cross-disciplinary courses that cover health promotion and long-term care services for all ages.

According to this philosophy, as well as the objectives and development goals of cultivating specialists in professional practices and embodying the spirit of the humanities, the institute aims to offer a diversified curriculum and cultivate advanced long-term care professionals with both evidence-based and practical knowledge as well as humanistic literacy.
